The client wanted to open up the small kitchen into the living room. The airy traditional aesthetic guided us through the remodel. First, we worked with a contractor to install a weight-bearing header beam through the kitchen to the back entrance to eliminate the need for posts. Then we added custom tongue and groove planks and beams to the ceiling. White cabinets, a custom fireplace, granite countertops, and refinished hardwood floors added to the transformation. Finally, the finishing touches were vital, including new lighting, furniture, a gallery wall, and a painted blue antique piece to add color.
