The Pond House

This was an empty storage “barn” that sat unfinished for years next to the property’s pond. The owners kept a tractor in the barn, but wanted to make this a place for friends and family to gather for parties or spend the night. Emily started with some inspirational pictures of a stained wood coffered ceiling and the design flowed from there. She made the entire space functional with one and a half baths, a large storage room, and a mudroom with custom made cabinets for fishing gear or boots and jackets. The great room has a gorgeous stone fireplace and is open to the kitchen featuring custom made cabinets. The Pond House has a masculine feel, but it remains very warm and welcoming.
