| We began with a finished basement that was a blank slate. The goal was to create an entertaining area that could be used to make outdoor cooking easier, having friends and family over and to create a purpose in general for the large space. We worked with a contractor and custom cabinet makers to create a kitchen/bar area surrounding a 10 foot handmade live edge one of kind community table. We created conversation areas that are flexible for larger gatherings. Adding brickwork, columns, beams, chunky floating shelves and other custom features like the iron and bronze glass shelving warmed up the large space that used to feel open and simple.
