This client’s home was a new-build designed by Celeste. The client wanted a very welcoming, interesting space while keeping it uncluttered and simple. The entire stairwell and wall at the base of the stairs was clad in board and batten trim for interest in a white for a fresh, clean palette. The stair runner is a simple contemporary black and white pattern and is paired with a rattan wrapped gold lantern to continue the décor selected in other parts of the home. The artwork was a specially commissioned piece with feathers and shells to continue the natural elements of the home with a unique statement piece. Celeste added a console table with an oversized mirror and lamps to match the scale of the foyer and a bench for extra coziness.
