Although the footprint remained the same, Michelle and Kellyann converted a tired living room into a bright, inviting, and cozy space, perfect for their family to gather in. By removing the columns and crown molding and replacing the fireplace and surround, they highlighted the beautiful arch details of the built-ins and made the fireplace the focus of the wall. By combining textures, such as 3-D tile, hair-on-hide coffee tables, a lofty rug and embroidered window treatments, they gave the room dimension and interest without becoming overly busy.
